The injured list continued to shrink as defencemen Medric Mercier and Josh Deyell returned to the lineup, giving the Winterhawks a full blueline for the first time this season.
Justin Donnelly got the Hawks on the board at 5:33 of the first, picking up a power play goal from Theo Peckham and Josh Urbshott.
The Winterhawks dominated play for much of the first period, and extended their lead at 15:36 when Curtis Johnston made it 2-0, from Andy Mitchell and Mercier.
The Winterhawks took a 2-0 lead to the dressing room after the first period, outshooting Erin 18-8 in the process.
The domination continued in the second period, with the Winterhawks outshooting Erin 17-7 in the middle frame, but the Erin netminder refused to budge, and the score remained 2-0 after two.
The Outlaws threw everything they had at the Winterhawks in the third, but it was the Winterhawks putting the game away midway through the final frame on the power play, when Andy Fracz scored from Brent MacDermid and Donnelly to make it 3-0.
Donnelly put it away after the Winterhawks killed off a penalty late in the period, making it 4-0 from Mitchell and MacDermid.
Peicheff shut the door on Erin to complete the shutout, giving the Winterhawks consecutive wins for the first time this season.
