Hockey Operations Statement
Submitted By Jordan Mackinnon on Wednesday, June 24, 2020
The Saugeen Shores Winterhawks have issued the following statement:

Earlier this week, the executive of the Saugeen Shores Winterhawks accepted the resignation of Head Coach Matt Turcotte.

"We would like to thank Turk for his dedication and passion over the past two seasons," said President Gord Lamont. "Coaching at this level is extremely time consuming and Turk put everything he had into coaching our team."

Turcotte stepped behind the bench at the beginning of the 2018/19 season, guiding the Winterhawks to a record of 30-13-1 in his two seasons at the helm.

The search for a new head coach is currently underway.
